Sarah Price,
Founder & Walk Leader

Welcome! I'm Sarah Price, and my passion is connecting people with the breathtaking landscapes of the England-Wales border.
Walking through this stunning countryside is not just a physical journey — it’s a healing and often transformative experience with deeply positive effects.
As a qualified Walk Leader, fully insured, and certified in Outdoor and Mental Health First Aid, I’m committed to making every walk safe, enjoyable, and welcoming.
This landscape is rich with history and natural beauty, and my aim is to help people experience it in a friendly and memorable way.
I lead routes across valleys, woodlands, moorland, and hills — from gentle, accessible paths to more challenging adventures. Whether you’re new to walking, building confidence, or seeking a rewarding day out in the hills, I’ll tailor each experience to suit your pace and preferences.
Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or lacing up your boots for the first time, you’re warmly invited to join me. Let’s enjoy the outdoors together.

I guide walks across some of the most beautiful landscapes in Herefordshire and South Wales, including the Golden Valley, (Herefordshire), Hay-on-Wye, Brecon, Talybont-on-Usk, Crickhowell, the Llanthony Valley, Llangorse Lake, and the Gower Peninsula.
Sarah Price Hiking is a professional guided walking business offering guided walks in Herefordshire, the South-Eastern Brecon Beacons, the Gower Peninsula, and the Hay-on-Wye areas.
It was founded in September 2022 as WALK HAY after Sarah transformed her passion for countryside walking into a career post-lockdown, now rebranded in 2026 as Sarah Price Hiking providing a variety of guided walking experiences.

Sarah Price Hiking provides:
-
Bespoke private walks, carefully curated for individuals, families, or groups.
-
Scheduled event walks where people can join a group.
-
Corporate team-building walks.
-
Collaborations with charities, tourist attractions, and other wellbeing organisations such as yoga retreat businesses etc.
My Career Highlights
I’m proud to have an ongoing collaboration with the Hay-on-Wye Literature Festival, one of the world’s most inspiring cultural events. In May 2025 I led three remarkable walks: one with broadcaster Kate Humble, one with a team of female Everest summiteers, and one with adventure writer Phoebe Smith and singer–songwriter Cerys Matthews. The partnership has continued to grow, and I was delighted to return later that year to lead another Winter Weekend walk with Kate Humble. These opportunities remain some of the real highlights of my guiding career.
For a deeper look behind the scenes, I’ve written a blog all about my Spring Hay Festival walks
— you can read it HERE.

"I was fortunate enough to find Sarah when I was visiting from Chicago. Sarah is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable about the area, kind, & encouraging She is very sensitive, thoughtful & she knows how to cater her walks for all levels. She is a gem. While I was traveling alone her walks provided me not only with learning about the area and wonderful exercise but, also the most lovely camaraderie"

"I participated in a weekend trip to the Gower. It was a fantastic experience, with superb accommodation and the arrangements well thought out. The walks over two days were extremely varied, from stunning sea views to fairy-tale woods, with a couple of cafés thrown in for good measure along the way! To experience this in the company of such a wonderful group of fellow walkers was the icing on the cake.
Sarah always provides a very high level of expertise and guidance and the knowledge she has of anywhere we visit is truly amazing"

"Fabulous walk with Sarah. Myself and Liane and our two dogs one of whom is a tripaw and had to be pushed in her buggy most of the 8 miles!!!!
Sarah was great in choosing a suitable route and changing it if the buggy was struggling.
Lovely scenery all day with a nice stop for lunch and then tea and cake at a grand hotel later. Would recommend if you want to see the best bits of the area"
