About the event
This Eve Summer Walk begins at Llangasty, right in the heart of the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog), beside Llangorse Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in South Wales. From the outset, this walk promises something special — and it more than delivers.
Following a route of approximately 3–4 miles, we climb steadily on a footpath between hedges that once formed part of a Roman road, making our way up and over Allt yr Esgair, which rises to around 390 metres above sea level. The ascent is taken at a steady, unhurried pace, with plenty of time to pause, catch breath, and enjoy the unfolding views.
