If you’d like to pick your own route, distance, pace, scenery, and even work in a cosy pub or hotel lunch, then a private guided walk is the perfect fit.
It’s your day, your way — and I take care of all the planning, so you can simply relax and enjoy being out in the landscape.

Private guiding is ideal for individuals, couples, families, and small groups — and I especially love leading women’s groups and solo female travellers who want to feel supported, safe, and looked after.
​
I know the countryside here like the back of my hand, from the hills and valleys around Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth, Llanthony, Talybont-on-Usk, Brecon, and Llangorse, to the Golden Valley and Kington. I also offer private guiding on the stunning Gower Peninsula near Swansea, where I first trained as a walk leader — a gorgeous mix of beaches, cliffs, and wide-open views.

Whether it’s a birthday treat, a celebration, or simply a day to breathe out in beautiful places, I’ll curate a walk that feels just right for you. I can also take you to some spectacular Brecon Beacons spots that aren’t Pen-y-Fan, but every bit as magical.

Private guiding is available any day of the week (subject to availability), and you’re welcome to book now and choose your walk later.

Private Guiding Fees
Fees start from:

Short guided walk (up to 1.5 hrs duration) - from £65*
​

Half day guided walk (approx. 3 to 3.5 hrs) - from £99*
​

Full day guided walk (approx. 5.5 to 7 hrs) - from £199*
* For groups up to 8 people.
​
Additional people £10 pp half day or £18 pp whole day.
​
Max. group size of 14 applies.

Fabulous walk with Sarah on Thursday. Myself and liane and our two dogs one of whom is a tripaw and had to be pushed in her buggy most of the 8 miles!!!!Sarah was great in choosing a suitable route and changing it if the buggy was struggling.Lovely scenery all day with a nice stop for lunch and then tea and cake at a grand hotel later. Would recommend if you want to see the best bits of the area.
