Eve Summer Walk: Pant-y-Llyn Pool & Moor

Join me for another highlight of the Eve Summer Walk series, returning to one of last year’s favourite landscapes — this time with a slightly different circular route to explore.

This roughly 3.5-mile circular walk takes place high in the open hills above Builth Wells, at around 400 metres above sea level. We’ll begin already high on the hillside, driving up to the start point before setting off across this wonderfully open upland landscape.

The route follows wide grassy tracks across the moorland, making for an easy and relaxed wander with no gates or stiles — just big skies and a sense of space all around. From this elevated viewpoint the views are truly expansive, stretching across the surrounding countryside. On clear evenings we may see the distant peaks of the Brecon Beacons, the winding Wye Valley, and the town of Builth Wells far below, along with miles of rolling Mid Wales hills…
